Following ethical approval from the ethics review committee at Islamic International Medical College, Riphah International University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, a qualitative, exploratory study was implemented from February to July 2021. The study comprised full-time and part-time health professions educators of either gender, teaching across diverse institutions in seven Pakistani cities: Taxila, Kamrah, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, and Karachi. Semi-structured, individual online interviews were conducted to collect data, drawing on Professional Identity theory. The interviews were verbatim transcribed, coded, and then analyzed using thematic methods.
The 14 participants comprised 7 (50%) with qualifications and experience across diverse specializations, with the remaining 7 (50%) dedicated to the sole field of health professions education. In terms of geographical distribution of the subjects, Rawalpindi provided 5 subjects, which accounted for 35%; a total of 3 subjects (21%) were serving in different cities, including Peshawar; 2 subjects (14%) originated from Taxila; and one subject (75%) each came from Lahore, Karachi, Kamrah, and Multan. Analysis of the accumulated data yielded 31 codes, categorized under 3 primary themes and further broken down into 15 sub-themes. Crucial issues explored included the defining characteristics of health professions education as a specialized area of study, its potential future, and its capacity for enduring relevance.

An evaluation of the critical care staff's comfort level, awareness, influence, and confidence in the implementation of safety huddles within the paediatric intensive care unit of a tertiary care hospital was conducted.
Physicians, nurses, and paramedics involved in the safety huddle at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, were subjects of a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted between September 2020 and February 2021. Open-ended questions, scored according to a Likert scale, were employed to evaluate staff opinions regarding this activity. The analysis of data was conducted using STATA 15.
Of the 50 participants, a female representation of 27 (54%) was noted, and 23 (46%) were male. In terms of age, 52% (26 subjects) were between 20 and 30 years old, and 48% (24 subjects) were aged 31 to 50 years. In the overall group, 37 (74%) of the subjects strongly affirmed the regular implementation of safety huddles within the unit from the onset; 42 (84%) of the group expressed confidence in voicing their patient safety concerns; and 37 (74%) deemed the huddles as worthwhile endeavors. Following huddle sessions, 42 individuals (84%) indicated experiencing a boost in their sense of empowerment. Additionally, 45 participants (90% of the survey group) asserted that daily huddles were instrumental in providing a clearer insight into their responsibilities. During routine huddles, 41 (82%) of the participants acknowledged the assessment and subsequent modification of safety risks for safety risk assessment purposes.
The implementation of safety huddles significantly enhanced the safety culture within the paediatric intensive care unit, encouraging frank discussion and collaboration among all team members concerning patient safety.

This study aims to determine the degree of association between muscle length, muscle strength, balance, and functional status in children diagnosed with diplegic spastic cerebral palsy.
Between February and July 2021, the Physical Therapy Department of Chal Foundation and Fatima Physiotherapy Centre, Swabi, Pakistan, performed a cross-sectional study encompassing children with diplegic spastic cerebral palsy, aged 4-12 years. The back and lower limb muscle strength was determined via manual muscle testing procedures. Goniometry served to assess the length of the lower limb muscles, determining their potential tightness.
