Immunohistochemical techniques are frequently used to study the abundance and localization of proteins associated with these diseases [10]. In order to combine information on protein localization and abundance, we sought to develop a reproducible method to be able to quantitatively measure protein abundance in immunohistochemical labelled skeletal muscle.
